LAN and WAN Design
Site surveys, IP address scheme planning, VLAN segmentation strategy, and switch hierarchy design for new buildings, office fits, and existing sites that need a rethink. We produce accurate network diagrams and full handover documentation so the infrastructure is never a mystery to whoever supports it in future. Every design decision is documented with a reason, not just an outcome.
Wireless Infrastructure
Enterprise-grade Wi-Fi deployment using Ubiquiti UniFi, Cambium, and Fortinet FortiAP hardware. RF site surveys to determine optimal AP placement, seamless roaming configuration for VoIP handsets and mobile devices, separate SSIDs for staff and guest networks with appropriate isolation, and captive portal setup for guest access management. We configure the wireless network to perform under load, not just in an empty office.
Switching and Routing
Managed switch deployment from Cisco, Fortinet FortiSwitch, Mikrotik, and HPE Aruba with VLAN tagging, port-based security, PoE budget planning for cameras and VoIP phones, and Spanning Tree configuration to prevent loops. Routers configured for inter-VLAN routing, static routes, and dynamic routing protocols where multi-site topologies require it. All devices are configured with management VLANs and access control lists, not left on default credentials.
Structured Cabling
Cat6 and Cat6A data cabling, fibre optic backbone runs between floors and buildings, patch panel installation, cable labelling, and tidy cable management in server rooms and communications rooms. All cabling is tested and certified with a fluke tester, and we provide a full cable schedule on completion mapping every port to its location. Proper cabling is the foundation everything else sits on.
Network Monitoring and Management
Real-time monitoring of switches, routers, firewalls, access points, and servers with automated alerting for device-down events, high CPU utilisation, interface errors, and bandwidth saturation. We investigate alerts before they become outages. Monthly reporting on network health, incident history, and traffic trends gives you visibility without needing to understand the underlying data yourself.
Smart Office and Building Automation
Integration of AV systems, smart displays, projectors, HVAC controls, and building management systems onto the unified network infrastructure. We have experience with Control4 and similar smart building platforms and understand how to design a network that supports IoT and automation devices reliably, including proper VLAN isolation to keep smart devices away from business data.
